The owner is going to be entering it into the local car show held in July called "Car d'Alene." (Is that a great name for a car show?) It's coming up June 13-14 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
I think this was the first such "Cabover" I have ever seen.

I dont know about this one... although it may be dated, I wouldnt take a corner to sharp and unless the breaks are calibrated for 30% forward and 70% rear, I wouldnt hit the breaks too hard either! just sayin...

Wonder how it drives. Seems like it would be prone to tip over around curves or turns. Also seems like it would do spins in the rain or smooth surface. I have a hard time visualizing someone taking this out in the mud. Why didn’t someone didn’t put a standard height suspension and tires so it would be drivable?
This is like a large coffee table. IMHO. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Yeah, that one will not take long to end up destroyed.
Hopefully the owner is a smart feller.

That is very cool!
I have a mid-90s Ford truck with the next-gen (from the FE) 385-series big block 7.5 liter V8. Ford made that engine series from 1968 to 1997.
I tend to frequent gas stations when driving it a lot. I would have to incorporate the truck if it were a daily driver so I could write off the fuel expense.
Someone seems to want to buy it off me every time I go to an auto parts store in it.

If the owner works hard and applies himself, he’ll be able to afford a new truck someday... :>)

Nice workmanship - but I wouldn't have done a suspension lift or oversized wheels and tires on a COE truck that already has a high center of gravity.
Most similar trucks that I've seen customized go the opposite way - lowered with an air-ride adjustable suspension system, maybe with a retro tilt-bed rig on the back like a race team's car hauler. Shelby American used trucks like that to move Cobras around (those COE trucks were '60s vintage and boxier). Painted in race team colors, though.

I know nothing about cars and trucks. I do have an opinion ... that’s it’s really sad that newer vehicles have no character or uniqueness about them. They all look alike, and are boring. (IMO)

If that guy has a 427 SOHC in that truck, WOW!!! Those engines were made to run on the race track and hate being on the street. But hold on if you hit the throttle because it’s going to light the tires.

Cool find. I think candy apple red is usually a little darker shade of red, maybe that’s just my bias. Looks like a beast to drive - reminds me of a hot wheels design.
To: ProtectOurFreedom
I own a 39 Ford coe (with the oval grille, not the waterfall). The 427 didn’t come out until the 60s.
These trucks came with a flathead v8.

IMHO, the jacked-up carriage and monster tires spoil the show.
Gives it a cartoonish appearance.
