Marriage & Family — Doing Life Right

In my work as a Christian newspaper publisher, radio commentator at TV host, I often have people contact me requesting prayer and counseling. Most all who come for prayer and counsel are Christians. They come in various stages of spiritual maturity. Some are baby Christians, some have been following the Lord for years, and the vast majority of requests I get are for those in troubled marriages and families. So today, I’d like to talk about marriage and family, and I hope and pray you’ll hear and understand what I have to say and put my advice into action.

It’s no secret that the enemy of our souls has been working hard to destroy the natural family — one man, united in the bonds of Holy Matrimony to one woman, both faithful to one another and raising Godly children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Today, God’s natural design for the family is under intense assault on every level. Satan uses a “divide and conquer” strategy to destroy the family, by getting us to focus on ourselves, rather than on serving those we love.

Misses the mark.

THE BIG problem in marriage today is the rebellion of women urged on and stoked by today’s Women’s Movement which comes straight from the pit of hell.

Christian leaders are cowed away from stating the truth about the rebellion of women against men, husbands, and God today probably because they’d lose half of their congregation if they did so.

But God’s word is not worried about popularity and it is still the balm that heals.

The first command in a marriage relationship in God’s word is to the WIVES to OBEY AND SUBMIT TO the husband in the Lord (Ephesians 5:22, Colossians 3:18, Titus 2:5, 1 Peter 3:1-6). In a wider context, women are not to usurp man’s authority in general (1 Timothy 2:12-15).

These things are no longer taught and women in general in full mutiny.

Mind you, not one can obey the Lord in the flesh, which is why it says “in the Lord.” First surrender must be made to the Lord who by grace will give women and men the grace to achieve their roles in the relationship.

A HUGE part of the problem is the same lie from Satan as at the beginning in the garden. Satan deceived Eve into thinking that her value was in her role and performance. As then, so now, intrinsic VALUE is confused with God-given ROLE.

We are saved by GRACE not works and our value is defined by God who has made men and women as valuable as his own Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us. So our HIGH VALUE comes form God, not man and is not to be confused with our God-given ROLES in life. Again, Satan has deceived women into meshing value and role together.

God help us.

I’m a very Christian man and have had to date a classic
Christian “life”.
same wife, kids, good employment, healthy retirement.
You “Carrie Nations” types disgust me.
Alcohol or drugs are not the problem, people like you don’t demand personal responsibility, you are enforcers only of your personal beliefs! Not everybody is as weak as you are!
And you are weak!
Weak ones will be winnowed out and that is their problem!
Try as you can, but they choose, not people like YOU!
