Toyota Camrys are also available in light-hybrid models (no external charging), and I know that they get close to 45-50 mpg.

EVs might work if you're close to home but take them out on the road and you're inconvenienced trying to find a charging station. Plus, the EVs miles per charge are based on ideal conditions. Excessive heat, cold, snow, or hilly terrain, and you'll get less than "average" mileage.

Additionally, you are f-cked on a long trip if you stop for coffee in a Blue State and some Demoncrat burns your Tesla. There you are in the middle of a Blue State, surrounded by demon possessed entities, with no way to escape.
