I know nostalgic, but to the youngins out there, the songs on the double album "Frampton Comes Alive" in 76 were always on the radio(whats a radio)

Happy birthday Peter, you made the best live album ever.

Flame away.

Live a Budokan (Cheap Trick) and Metallica’s video recorded outdoor event at the Roman Coliseum in Nimes, France were good too.

Today is also Vladimir Lenin’s birthday. Not a coincidence that Lenin’s birthday is the same day as Earth Day.

Also born on April 22:

Immanuel Kant
Robert Oppenheimer
Eddie Albert
Glenn Campbell
Jack Nicholson

Glen Campbell was born on this day in 1936. He may be the best all around entertainer we got to witness in our lives.

Glen's guitar solos through the years"

btw - Frampton and Glen were good friends and when Glen passed, Peter was all over media gushing about his love for him and his talent.

Blew my mind seeing Cheap Trick in a High School gym in northern Minnesota in 82.

I saw them and the Cars together in 82. I saw the Cars in 81 at a college auditorium that seated about 400. It was great.

“Glen Campbell was born on this day in 1936. He may be the best all around entertainer we got to witness in our lives”

Here is just a great version of Wichita Lineman. He really was special especially his guitar chops. I’m pretty sure Glenn was experiencing some memory loss at this point (2008) as at the 1:20 min. mark you can see the lyrics scrolling on the stage monitor. The young kid to Glen’s right on rhythm guitar is his son.

Frampton was also a founding member of Humble Pie.

Their live album Humble Pie - Performance: Rockin' the Fillmore (full album) is one of the better live albums from that era.

Too bad we weren’t able to see Peter and Steve Marriott put back Humble Pie.
