Why has Silver not shot to the Moon ?

Silver's function has changed over the past 100 years. In the past, silver was used as a store of value, but now its primary purpose is the best conductor of electricity in the universe.

Gold's role has not changed. It is still used first and foremost as a store of value (which humans desire and demand).

I would say it is still a store of value when a 1964 quarter is worth $4.10 Try cashing in a 1965 clad quarter at a coin shop when you need a gallon of gas. It has fundamental value. Always did, always will, unlike fiat currencies that always go belly up historically.
