The “popular” flight attendant failed to show up for the crew’s return flight to London’s Heathrow Airport following 48 hours in SF, according to a report in The Independent.
The other crew members on the flight were reportedly too distraught to continue and the flight was canceled.
Before the crew member was discovered dead, the pilots left the hotel for San Francisco International Airport. Cabin crew and inflight managers waited for him in the hotel reception, reportedly.
When he failed to turn up, they went up to his room and discovered he was deceased. According to The Independent, it’s believed his body lay in the room undiscovered for two days.

“””The “popular” flight attendant”””
Why the word popular and why is “popular” in quotes????????
Definitely, more to the story here.
did he have the no housekeeping sign on door knob or did they not do their job daily?
Yep.
Good for you...really. I see where you ditched the Alaska Airlines pics on your home page. If your Citation gig is a 680, so much the better.
We had an extended family member who was an airline pilot for a major airline.
He was probably one of the first victims of AIDS...
British Airways as well, as I recall.
It's been my experience that the business class hotels went to a 3 day cycle or when one checked out, whichever came first. They will bring new towels on request. They've also removed many of the trash cans so you need to go empty your own when it gets full. And frequently no plastic bags in them. Because 'green'.
Flight attendant + He = HOMO
