And if anyone cares to remember—Kapernick was benched....no one was paying attention to him. He took to the knee then and no one cares—only when he said it was for X cause—did the attention flow his way—it still didn’t fix his inability to read defenses—He had a knack for scrambling because he took forever to find a receiver—then he would throw an interception. I am a long long time Niners fan and Kapernick carried the team to the Super Bowl after taking over mid season—and then promptly lost it. What a Putz...No Niner loses a Super Bowl—ask Joe or Steve...
Yup, me too. I was a longtime 49ers fan at the time. I jumped both feet on the bandwagon when Joe Montana led the 49ers to a regular season victory over the 'hated' Dallas Cowboys ('hated', because I originally was a Washington Redskins fan - when I lived in the area. But then we moved to the Bay Area, and after they fired the 'over the hill gang', I gave up on the Redskins. I wasn't a big 49ers fan either, until that victory over Dallas). I haven't watched much pro football over the past 10+ years.
But all of that aside, you are right - Kaepernick couldn't find an open receiver for the life of him, and after his bullet arm could no longer throw bullets - he just had his legs to run around. Good riddance when they finally got rid of him.
