Right now, from a historical viewpoint, it looks like the war will be (in the distant future) between Islam and China.

Wow, you have no idea what's going on. The war will be Islam vs. West well before Islam vs. China. There are no Islamic settlements in Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou (Canton). There are enormous Islamic settlements in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Stockholm, Oslo, Vienna, etc...

In think the idea is that the west will be gone already, and the remaining two cultures Islam and China will fight for the leftovers.
