I worked cocktails in nightclubs back then. Had all the clothes to fit right in. 2 outfits I remember.....satin pants. I had a black pair and a grey/blue hued pair. Wore them with matching shiny tube tops. I was 5’9” and wore 3 inch Candies to work. Made a ton of money. lol

Disco died an early death and yet, the cockroach of music genres, rap still lives on.

The theme from the movie Shaft (1971) was the first disco song.

I did that once. Hadn’t skated in years, put on my skates, stood up while holding on, shuffled my feet a little and felt like I had never quit skating. Took of slowly, staying close to the rail. Decided I was still good so I took off, got up to good speed! Came time to turn and couldnt, ran smack dab into the wall. Hobbled back to my chair and left.

Worst music ever outside of rap which isn’t music.

At first I hated their disco stuff. I’ve never seen the entire Saturday Night Fever.
I liked the Bee Gees in the late 60s and early 70s.
But as I got older I like that movie soundtrack.
