The minute I open my news feeds, I start praying that today will be that day.
We can’t fix this, but He can.
Pray for Revival. Some like me see signs….the US experienced great Revival and the birth of many great Preachers during the Great Depression.
Of course I could be wrong, but Praying for Revival is a win, win situation.

We are living in the times of the end today (since Jesus).
1 Peter 1:20 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times (Lit., at the end of the times)for the sake of you.
Tell you what, though, when judgment hits the USA, it will be most severe. Just imagine; the Cascadia subduction zone, the San Andreas fault line, the Yellowstone Caldara, the New Madrid, and the East Coast faults all erupting at once. The USA would be gone, overnight.
Don't get me wrong; I don't advocate for it and I hope and pray it never comes to pass, but when talk about judgment comes up I remember what it says in Revelation 6:12-17:
"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
“There are many things, in our world today, that point to the imminent return of our Lord, Jesus Christ.”
His return will not be imminent until ALL of the signs of His coming have happened:
Matthew 24:33 NKJV
So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
“Today, our world is replete with wars and rumors of wars. Nations are rising against nations. We have famines.”
Correct. Two specific signs to watch for.
“We also have many ‘pestilences’ — many of them man-made.”
Also, correct. Another specific sign.
“We’ve also seen a marked increase in earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, fires and hurricanes in diverse places — places where they should not be happening. The beginning of sorrows.”
And another.
“And once again, the words of Christ are absolutely true when we now have true Christ-followers being persecuted, imprisoned, killed and hated of all men... If you’re a true Christ-follower... you’ll be betrayed by those you thought were your brothers and sisters in Christ. They will hate you. I’ve experienced this hatred from professing ‘Christians’ personally.”
This is a big sign. Apostacy, persecution, and betrayal by so-called “Christians” are collectively a major sign, mentioned in the Olivet Discourse, Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians, and in the book of Revelation.
In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul emphasized this and one other sign which is the abomination of desolation. It is also in the list of signs Jesus gave in the Olivet Discourse. This is when the Antichrist is revealed, defiling the 3rd temple, demanding to be worshipped by the whole world (which is done by the mark of the beast, which is part of this sign).
Matthew 24:15 & 21 NKJV
Therefore when you see the “abomination of desolation”, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand)... For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 NKJV
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The way we watch for the Second Coming/Day of the Lord is to watch for the signs. That Day will come like a thief to those who do not watch. We must learn the signs and watch for them.
One other important sign will appear in the sky before the Second Coming. There will be a simultaneous solar and lunar eclipse accompanied by meteorites that will pummel the Earth. This event will be so catastrophic that everyone will retreat underground to survive.
This sign follows the Great Tribulation and immediately precedes the Day of the Lord / Second Coming of Christ.
Matthew 24:29-30 (NKJV)
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Acts 2:16-21 NKJV
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.”
