People on social media are outraged over a video reportedly taken at the scene of a fatal mass shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee, on Thursday, April 17. But it's not just over the alleged shooter, identified by Tallahassee police as 20-year-old FSU student Phoenix Ikner.
It's over video that was seemingly shot by someone walking past a wounded, bleeding woman lying face down on the grass. Rather than stopping to help or even running away from an active shooter, as what sounds like two shots are fired in the background, the person walks by while sipping from a Starbucks cup.

I should clarify that you aren’t seeing this video, this outrage in the media at large. Only a blurb locally that will last for a few minutes and then evaporate.
Social media
Hysterical people
Perhaps she was deaf
I heard a motivational speech by a businessman who survived after being evacuated from the Twin Towers on 9-11. He related being led through tunnels to escape before the collapse of the buildings, and walking past other evacuees who stopped to place an order at Starbucks.
Or maybe she was _____?
Ear buds maybe
A lot of folks in anotherworld at times
People react differently to instances of great stress. Some immediately go into hero mode. Some freeze. And some act like mindless zombies.
You won’t know what you’ll actually do unless it happens to you.
or…. Maybe I already know why ( cough cough)
Sure. Surprises apparently some folks, but some terrible people live here.
Where is this video
You can want to act like a mindless zombie in this situation but to not defy that feeling and get busy helping this obviously innocent and harmless victim is unacceptable, morally, logically, physically
Period.
It has been all over Tik Tok, and I watched it yesterday on the Farcebook.
CFP has it up
Eek! The implication being those people died from delaying escape before they were all the way to safety.
Good, it’s educational. Forces people to think for themselves.
It is one of those weird threads about a video with no video.
> You can want to act like a mindless zombie… <
It’s not a situation of “wanting” to do anything. It’s more of an involuntary thing.
Don’t get me wrong. There are people who choose not to get involved. Those people have no moral compass. I’m talking about people who zone out without even knowing it.
Some say that’s a defense mechanism. Others say it’s a character or DNA flaw. Take yer pick.
I get it. Starbucks Frappes are really good. Will Starbucks purchase the video rights for its next ad campaign?
