I know Glen is the key, and he basically told Roy Acuff to shut up.
Roy was a bada$$.
So when he shuts up, I wanna know who's the other folks in that choir.

Roy CLARK, not Acuff..
Still, telling Roy Clark to shut up? You’re a master
Here is the soundtrack to the show. Hope this helps.

seriuosly?
Off the top of my head theres Gene Watson, Waylen, Buck’s drummer, Willie,
Not sure who was playing but I saw Crystal Gayle, George Lindsay, Janie Fricke, Willie Nelson, Ray Stevens.
I miss that America.

Who knew Hee Haw would become how society would is.
I’m sure it was good natured. Glen and Roy were pretty good friends. They respected each other’s abilities.
Bobby Bare, Chet Atkins, Waylon, B.J. Thomas, Willie, Gene Watson.
Love the fight Chet Atkins picked with Waylon when they brought him on board at RCA. Chet told Waylon to stop picking the guitar they way he does because it makes the records skip. ROTFL! Love that old vinyl.
“Who knew Hee Haw would become how society would is.”
I’d trade today’s society for Hee Haw pretty quick.

I watch that video all of the time
Glen Campbell was amazing there
In that same show Glen does a killer cover of Roy Orbison’s song Crying. The other artists just look on in amazement
Thank you sir/ma’am.
Not certain, I’ve only seen that clip
Crystal Gayle is touring. Wish I could meet her. I’d ask her if she remembers that event.
I saw Foghat and IIRC the current guitarist is the guy from Wild Cherry 🍒🍒🍒 who wrote the guitar 🎸 riff for “Play that Funky Music” - which came on the 70s replay on the radio last night.
Got a picture with the lead singer (guitarist as well) and the bass player.
Didn’t get to meet the lead guitarist nor the last original surviving member drummer Roger Earl. He went by with his wife.
Yes it can’t be any worse and more fun.
I have it on good authority from 2 SE DC Bar maids and a female guitarist back in the day (RIP) that Roy C was an A-Hole but Jimmy Dean was a gentleman...
I can believe that - Buck Owens didn’t like Roy Clark either. But Roy should could play.
And, while I never met either, I did meet Dwight Yoakam, and he was cool as a cucumber. Dwight learned his craft from Buck, or at least modeled it after him, so he said. It was the “Bakersfield Sound”.
Yes. All in awe of Glen.
