Eyesore of the Month Ping
Looks like my garden hose after I accidentally mowed over it
Let me guess: that’s what the inside of your arteries look like, after the jab…
Trying to decide what is uglier, this or a similar-sized Brutalist structure?
I’ll call it a tie. Which is quite damning for this monstrosity.
Kunstler hits another home run that smashes up another cultural eye-con. Fixing this is probably more expensive than tearing it down and starting all over again. What would amaze me is that any competent cancer researcher would chose to work in a building like that unless cancer research is another scam of the grifting classes where excellence in achieving results is not actually a part of the job description.

Lol!
Excellent connection!

I’d like to see some of the other HDR’s buildings.
The Sponge Bob Building
It amazes me how they want us to celebrate their ostentatiousness while disease burdens skyrocket. My father told me as a young child “insurance is a scam, but health insurance is the ultimate scam.”
Reminds me of the Obama Presidential Temple ... I mean Presidential library.
Thanks for the link. I checked out the reviews and it looks to be a very good book. But, as one reviewer noted, “prepare to be depressed”, which makes sense.
Give me a little white church with a steeple in the country.
