Oprah Winfrey is so proud of her bestie.
The billionaire, 71, cried when her BFF Gayle King took off into space on the Blue Origin mission Monday morning alongside five others, including Katy Perry and Jeff Bezos’s fiancée, Lauren Sánchez.
Winfrey was on scene at the launch site in West Texas and told a reporter during the livestream that she wore yellow because King, 70, is “sunshine.”

Best friend? Yeah right.

Is Gayle actually a true friend with Oprah or just a fair weather acquaintance?

I don’t know why I know this…(my wife worked in media in the same market that King worked in back in the 80s.)
They have been good friends since back in the Chicago days. Early on…like in the very early 80s or late 70s.
If she were a “fair weather friend” I think it would have run its course a couple decades ago.

Bunch of Karens. I have no idea why you’d allow someone like this do something like that when they’d turn on you in a second.

If King is that scared, why do it? Give the spot to someone who’d savor the opportunity and understand how lucky they are.

What “mission”? At mind boggling expense a bunch of women were shot into near-space and returned safely. What scientific experiments did they conduct? What contributions to human knowledge did they make? Purely a publicity stunt and a waste of resources.
