Here is the thing about dating sites. The women typically will choose the top 10% of guys and reject the 90% below them. So, the 10% top guys don’t commit because they don’t have to. They get plenty of attention from women and will typically be able to have their choice and as much sex as they wish.
The women, because they had a one night stand with Mr. 10%, will typically have a skewed idea about their market value and will not choose the bottom 90% because they once had a fling with Mr. 10%.
I’m not saying that all women are like this, but that is the tendency. The bottom 90% will typically wait until the women’s intersection of attractiveness and attention start intersecting at lower levels.
Reminds me of the joke about the five story building where you could only go up unless you were leaving. The first floor is average-looking short men, the second attractive short men, the third average tall men, the fourth attractive tall men, and the fifth—which the women all reached—saying “This floor exists to prove women can’t be satisfied.”
Well perhaps we should go like the animal kingdom...one male gets all the females and all the other man get to have bromances instead....which means 95% of males are left out of the gene pool.
