He seems like more of a traditional union Democrat.
An actual Blue collar guy that grew up in a rust belt town where all the manufacturing jobs got moved overseas.
I grew up south of Buffalo.
Lackawanna was right next door where Bethlehem Steel at one point in the 70s employed 25K people.
Then ten years later almost all those jobs were gone.
Now, I recognized that the Unions had a big part in killing the golden goose.
Two of my neighbors were making $35/hour at the plant back then. Which was huge money.
Fetterman grew up in a town just like Lackawanna outside of Pittsburgh.
So he witnessed first hand a town where it went from prosperity to a slum.
