I taught in urban Jackson, Mississippi and had many of the same comments tossed at me “it might be harder for you to teach as you ain’t in they culture” I was told.

My blond blue eyed daughter did her student teaching in Mississippi and she felt so loved. It was a great experience. She actually enjoys working in the title 1 school districts.The reverse racism movement will only hurt the education community. Everyone has individual gifts to contribute that arent skin deep.
