Those silly sounding New Yawk names.

SoHo: south of Houston Street (pronounced How-stuhn).
TriBeca: the triangle below Canal Street
NoHo: Short for “North of Houston Street”.
NoLita: Short for “North of Little Italy”.
NoMad: Short for “North of Madison Square”.
DUMBO: Stands for “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass”.
Greenwich Village: Known for its bohemian culture and artistic roots, with landmarks like Washington Square Park.

Harlem: Uh, ahem.
Taxi driver in Live and Let Die: “You know where we goin’?”
Bond: “I believe we’re going uptown.”
Driver: “Uptown? Man, you is goin’ to Harlem.”
