Animals don’t have souls. They see in black and white. Everyday life for them is kill or be killed. That’s the way God made them.
I’ve been in the woods. I have seen it. They live in black and white. It may be ugly but it’s real.
Animals don’t see in just black and white.
Depending on the species, most can see in other colors as well. Dogs can see in more than just shades of gray- they also see some blue and some yellow but not red. Where we have three types of color receptors- cones- dogs just have two. But at the same time, dogs have more rod receptors so they see much better at dawn and dusk than we do.
Polar bears see in color similarly to humans.
Goat color vision is good.
And birds can see every color we do, but also see several ultraviolet colors we cannot see at all. What we may see only as black, they perceive as color. Eagles for example have 5 types of cone color receptors while we have but three.
Many insects see more colors than we do as well.
