Call me highly skeptical. As an open borders advocate, i/>Reason</i> magazine repeats claims from defense lawyers and sources even though they are often exaggerated or flat wrong when the court record and other information is examined.
They only briefly mention that the DHS actually does a deep investigation and that his social media had information of his gang affiliations.
In other words, the6y try to hide that fact and showed no interest in balancing the story to see what his social media had in it. They did this because it likely would have destroyed their narrative and just another nice boy wanting to be a musician.
It is EXTREMELY unlikely he was shipped off only because of a tattoo but the story lies up front insinuating that and hides / obfuscates other considered evidence deep in the article.
Just more propaganda and yellow journalism.
