Great observation! Especially in cultural matters.

Walt Disney essentially tried to bottle "middle America" culture, and sell it as a product.

But "middle America" isn't universally loved and admired.

In hindsight, the Disney Company should have seen "multiculturalism" as a mortal threat. Of course they weren't smart for that. They didn't really understand what Walt was selling. They were too much a part of it to realize it was unique.

Still, the overwhelming number of NBA players are from the U.S

Now baseball, it just isn't as popular in the U.S. anymore. It's way more popular in Japan, Dominican Republic, etc. A lot of U.S. sports fans find it boring. (Guilty as charged.)

And young black athletes are even less interested. I think MB is down to about 6% U.S. black players.
