LeSean McCoy Has Warning for Dak Prescott after Joe Milton Trade
New York Post ^ | April 4, 2025 | Camden Markel

The Cowboys’ trade acquisition of Joe Milton III was simply a depth move for a backup quarterback to operate behind Dak Prescott — or was it? Former NFL star running back LeSean McCoy isn’t so sure that Prescott’s job will be totally safe. “Listen, if Dak Prescott has a postseason like he’s always had going into that next year … Dak, find a realtor,” McCoy said Thursday on FS1’s “The Facility.”

“Because Joe Milton got talent — he can play.” Dallas just signed Prescott to a four-year, $240 million extension before last season, making him relatively untradable with a deal of that size on the books until 2028.

But McCoy seems to suggest that this would not stop the Cowboys from looking to move on from Prescott and thrust Milton, whom they sent a fifth-pick to the Patriots for, into action.

I don't get it. People Are acting like Milton III is some kind of HOF QB. Based on what?

He was drafted last year in the 6th round, and he was traded the other to the Cowboys for the difference between a 5th rounder and a 7th rounder. If he was that great, wouldn't he be worth more?

He can throw the ball really far, no question. But a lot of QBs could do that and never went anywhere.

At this point, Trey Lance has a lot more to show for himself than Milton III. I'm not sure he could beat out Will Grier for backup, let alone Dak Prescott.

I’m not a sports guy, so at first glance this headline came off as gibberish.

😆

The man had one decent game against the Bills practice squad. Hype is all it is. Im happy with the pick the Pats got.

It’s all about replacing white quarterbacks with blacks. If you watch college FB, you will see excellent QBs of all races. Except! The NFL drafters, and scouts are jumping past top white QBs to go after black ones. As an avid college football fan, I can attest there are 10 top whites to every 1 black. Those poor whites that put their heart and soul are past over due to AA. Or are stabbed in the heart before getting to college. This country ain’t fair.

Joe Milton III and Dak Prescott are both black, so what you say seems nonsensical.

That’s Will Geer. I don’t think he was gay, though.

You can’t always trust Wikipedia, but the entry there says he was.

Based on what?

He had a very good game at the end of the 2024 season against the Bills, when the Bills were resting about 12 of their offensive and defensive starters before the playoffs.
