Genes determine so much. The Chinese race is good at scholarly discipline. There is another race which is known for its violence disregard for societal norms. There is one race which is responsible for 50% of homicides even though they are only 12% of the population.
I see it differently. I think all of us have evil within us, wholly accessible were the right conditions to exist.
And for different humans, it is a different set of right conditions.
And I don’t believe that difference is between races or countries or tribes. At a fundamental level, those differences exist even between two genetically identical humans beings.
And that is where culture comes in. We are susceptible to that and we have to fight it. That is why we are here.
We were here to be humans, not animals.
And Humans can fight evil that exists, where animals largely cannot, because in most cases Animals don’t likely see evil the same way Humans do. In the end, those who cannot tamp down the evil within are...Animals.s
It is a dividing line between us. And we do have human “animals” living and breathing with us in this human world. That is not a comforting thought.
But is is who we are, IMO.
