It was fun watching Rand Paul embarrass himself on the Senate floor yesterday, thundering about tariffs on Canada, and then Canada wasn't even part of the tariff package.

Trump remains one step ahead of everyone else and his critics can't keep up.

The easiest proof is that though Vietnam and Israel just announced the elimination of tariffs, we're still going to levy tariffs on their goods.

Vietnam and Israel (and Canada) announced their intent to eliminate tariffs on US goods, but have not officially lifted them yet. As of today, Vietnam taxes US imports at 92%.

Remember: the tariffs are reciprocal. The US will lift its tariffs on Vietnam and Israel when they lift their tariffs on the US.
