So he’s saying it’s up to the athletes themselves to decide what team to compete on.
And that really makes you wonder, why do we have separate women’s sports in the first place?
What about other sports qualifications? For example, should we allow adults on children’s T ball teams? ALLOW adults to play little league baseball? If the criteria are that athletes themselves have to make a decision where to compete, you really open up other possibilities that have nothing to do with transgender issues.
Even if he wins the US title, he still cannot represent the US because of the international federation rules forbid him to participate in international events like the Olympics.
His father must be very proud.
Will Thomas should just man up, and compete against males like he used to do…and come in at the bottom of the rankings. Stupid jerk.

Like you are asking, what about age groups? What if a 16 year old feels most comfortable and affirmed in the ages 10-12 age group? Should we just let all “athletes” pick the various classifications for the sport competitions? How about, NO?
