Plummeting property values in downtown Portland are costing the city millions of dollars in tax revenue. That's tax money that would go to police, fire, parks, and more.

For Fiscal Year 2024-25, Portland has a city budget of $8.2 BILLION. That’s the annual budget.

FTA: They are going to suffer a $33 million tax revenue loss over the next five years.

That’s $0.006 billion per year. You’re telling me they can’t figure out how to balance their budget if they suffer a 0.07% shortfall?

The numbers don’t add up here.
