Disgraced ex-City Councilman Dan Halloran — who spent years in federal prison for a $200,000 bribery scheme to rig a mayoral election — has been arrested and charged for having hundreds of sickening child sex abuse videos on his phone, according to authorities.
Halloran, 54, was busted at Miami International Airport on Saturday as he arrived in the US for a layover flight from Cuba, Local 10 News reported.
He was found with 1,362 child-sex videos hidden on his iPhone — including about 35 videos of “prepubescent” girls being victimized, according to a federal criminal complaint obtained by the outlet.

He is “Republican” as a technicality. He’s a Democrat posing as a Republican. In other words, he’s the worst kind of Democrat: a RINO.
I think this ruse to overtake the R party originated in the 1960’s.

Her former roommate said she started bringing him to the apartment around the summer of 2010.
Halloran would sneak in and out of the apartment using a side door, and the two were glued to the hip, the roommate said.
“He was dating someone who was in college . . . I don’t know how he pulled it off,” said the roommate. “He’s not attractive.
“He was constantly around. It was really annoying. Thank God he never came out with his shirt off.”
The roommate said Halloran was constantly bickering with Mapes.
“When he was dating my friend, he would do stupid, immature things to make her upset. He was an a–hole and a creep,” the roommate said. “She would tell us he was the member of some stupid religion.”
Halloran and his wife are practicing Theodists — a pagan religion where members drink from horns and play combat games while wearing medieval garb.
Cynthia Halloran refused to discuss her husband’s affair yesterday. Dan Halloran and his lawyer did not return calls.
The divorce has not been finalized, and the parties are due back in court in May.
The Queens Republican was charged last week along with Smith (D-Queens) and four others in a federal corruption sting.
Halloran was caught on wiretaps discussing bribes with city GOP bosses to get Smith on the Republican mayoral ballot, prosecutors said.

He threw away his marriage for a co-ed staffer half his age, and now Dan Halloran, the city councilman already under indictment in an alleged plot to rig the mayoral race, could lose his seat after another seamy office romp.
Halloran, 41, a cocky Queens Republican and a practicing pagan, has been carrying on with 23-year-old Denise Batista since she was an intern in his council office, sources told The Post.
The brunette beauty was seen covering her face at Halloran’s Flushing home when FBI agents led him out in handcuffs during his predawn arrest April 2, when he was charged in Democratic state Sen. Malcolm Smith’s alleged plot to bribe his way onto the GOP mayoral ticket.
Halloran could be hit with disorderly-conduct sanctions — including dismissal — if found to have violated the council’s ethics policy with Batista or a previous deputy chief of staff with whom he had a relationship.
Batista, a student and tennis player at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, first hooked up with Halloran while she was working for him, an “absolute no-no” under city and council rules, a council source said. Batista has since quit her intern gig.
The relationship comes on the heels of Halloran’s 2010-2011 romance with Meaghan Mapes, his pretty former $30,000-a-year deputy chief of staff. The affair with Mapes, then 21, was revealed by The Post this month.

I skimmed but didnt see... how the hell did he get caught with them? was he watching videos and someone over his shoulder seen it??
