Important quote:

“The researchers have found that reducing blood glucose, as well as increasing blood ketone and lactate levels, could help restore metabolic function in aging brains. Potentially, these could all be achieved through lifestyle changes, including exercise and the food we eat.”

Also,

“It also highlighted potential drug targets, as well as the potential benefit of supplementing with nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD)—a molecule that plays a vital role in the brain's energy supply. NAD-boosting supplements have been previously studied as a potential healthy aging therapy.“

All of this is readily available for us to do or use.

I’m 88 and my MD just gave me a memory test. I;m fine. But then, I’ve been careful about my diet and exercise since I was in my 20’s. Always belonged to a gym wherever I lived. And have a few sets of dumbbells at home. I’m a small woman, so only 5, snd 8 lbs.

NAD supplements do not cross the blood-brain barrier. Any article that suggests NAD or NAD+ is helpful is suspect.
