Sure, maybe some minor cohort of high-flyer kids who got into Columbia and might otherwise have gone there are now picking Penn or Dartmouth or Brown or West Point or Notre Dame or whatever instead, BUT I’m sure Columbia still has no trouble filling its freshman class with willing and able students.
The prestige is gone.
Yes, probably. But not those that don’t want turmoil, violent distractions and bad publicity.
Columbia can fill up with more loony radicals bent on disruption rather than absorbing an education. Those that don’t want jobs, anyway.

Worse for Columbia is the rumors that it is happening in a big way. Once the fad of attending there is questioned, it can snowball. There are lots of other snob schools.
