Dr. Makary was the much needed antidote to horror show Fauci during Covid. He and Vinay Prasad MD-MPH of UCSF were among the only public American medical experts whose advice I was willing to follow, and I regularly posted their findings and research posts on FR.

Makary was also ahead of the game when it came to:

- Recognizing the benefits of spacing out the two dose Covid shots by more than three weeks.

- The immune sufficiency of one dose for young, low risk, or already naturally immune people. (Basically one of the few who DARE to bring up the concept of over-vaccination and its potential physical harms on otherwise healthy people.)

- There's ALWAYS humility behind his recommendations. Always fluidity - making room for whatever new evidence arises.

I also appreciate his case-by-case approach and emphasis on individualism among patient care, as opposed to Marxist “one size fits all or else” herd mentality driving current public health directives.

i listened to his advice religiously during Covid. he took a lot of grief for raising issues and questions so i am very glad he is being recognized.
