Charlie Kirk

Charlie grew up Presbyterian. Discovered the Sabbath in the Bible. Also heard a radio speaker talking about the blessings of Shabbat. They started keeping it. He loves to talk about the sabbath; he gets tired of politics. He is writing a book on the sabbath. Stop in the name of God.

Sabbath helped him immensely. Before he started keeping it, he was sleeping poorly and burning the candle at both ends. He heard Dennis Prager talk about keeping the Sabbath. He got jealous of him after hearing about God’s divine stop sign. They made a commitment to start keeping it.

The Sabbath is a prioritizing of who is in the church. Genesis 1:1 sets the tone for God’s requirements and authority. The Catholic church tried to change the Sabbath to Sunday. It is the most ignored Commandment of the Decalogue. Honoring the sabbath helps you keep the other 9.

Charlie Kirk has discovered the Seventh day Sabbath. It's been there since Genesis so it's not for Jews only. Jesus himself said it was made for man as in mankind.

It's a real blessing too.

Charlie might also discover Romans 14 one day.

You can worship or rest any day of the week. When you begin to mandate a day you’re falling back into Law.

Oh, you must mean that law that says not to steal or commit adulterey. Yeah, we wouldn’t want to fall back under that law now do we?

Of course, it’s not about the “law”.....it’s just the Sabbath, the 4th commandment that makes you squirm.

Deep theology you have.

The context in Romans 14 is fast days.....not the moral law of the ten commandments and the holy weekly Sabbath God sanctified at creation....thousands of years before any Jew was around.

That’s why evangelicals don’t even keep Sunday anymore as the Lord’s “day.” Its more like the Lord’s hour and then off to the races. At least evangelicals used to keep Sunday as the Sabbath day.....the whole day.

Dr. Samuele Bacchiochi received his PH’d from the Pontifical Gregorian University at the Vatican.

His Thesis was on the change of the Sabbath to Sunday. He traced the change and with the archives in the Vatican available to him, his research shows the there is no evidence the Apostolic church met on the first day of week as a substitute for the Sabbath.

On the contrary in Acts the Gentiles called for Paul to come out again “next Sabbath” to hear more. And that was the Gentiles.

The change occured over about a 100 year time period AFTER the apostolic churc and it was the Christians and Government authorities like Constantine who were responsible to distance themselves from the Jews.

Jesus said not a jot or tittle from the law would change.....till heaven and earth pass away. John himself sees the “Lord’s day” in Revelation.......God is the Lord, he calls the Sabbath ‘MY HOLY DAY’

Not a single text in the new testament calls the first day of the week, the “Lord’s day.” It merely refers to it as the “first day”........and where we do see “Lord’s day” Revelation 1:10, there is no mention of the first day.

The greatest theological case for no change in the Bible from the Sabbath to Sunday was actually made by the Roman Catholic church herself. In a series or article published around the turn of the century.

She knows she changed the commandment and wants her credit for the change because.....”who else would?”

And she challenges all Protestants......”Why do you keep Sunday” if you are going by the Bible? Nowhere does the Bible declare a change in the Sabbath.

We the church changed it and when you honor Sunday, you are paying allegiance to her..the Papacy.

Sunday is the child of the Papacy and she knows it.

It’s an amazing read......very deep. She looks at every single first day text in scripture.....

And she does mention Seventh day Adventists.....as the ONLY Protestants who keep the correct Bible Sabbath. She calls them an insignificant sect.

It’s deep to read this.......most won’t get it. She’s condescending, she’s arrogant, she’s belligerent.....

And she’s correct. You should read this......her theology is brilliant:

lurk, you may want to have a close look at:

1) What Jesus Himself said about the law. Mat 5:17
and
2) What the purpose of the law is. Rom 7:7

God's commands are based on Him being our designer. It all works better when we follow His instructions. Thinking we are "free" from the law as a justification for doing what we prefer is a very dangerous rationalization. Christ died for us on that cross to free us from the burden of sin we are aware of because of the law.

Agreed.

I am studying the law right now.

If we voluntarily TAKE a day off to do nothing, and rest as the Torah says, that is good.

If we insist that we and others DO every Saturday specifically and DO specific things on Saturday, we are falling from grace. If we teach that Saturday worship is superior, we are out of grace. If we teach that not doing Saturday is sin, we are out of grace.

At some point we need to be serious about the Sabbath and the Law.

It’s not the “Law” that makes evangelicals squirm in their seats. Adultery, theft, murder, lying, worshipping other Gods, coveting, honoring parents, bowing down to idols, ......

No, they use “LAW” to get out of the that darn Sabbath. If only that Sabbath day wasn’t in the law.

Their theology is so shallow, they don’t even see why God would put the Sabbath day in the heart of the MORAL law. It’s not in the Mosaic ceremonial laws, kept outside the ark, written by Moses, in a book.

God put the Sabbath day right there with Lying and killing and stealing, etc.....because the Sabbath from Genesis commemorates CREATION by the CREATOR.

It is his seal of authority to determine what is right and what is wrong. Everything else is just opinion. In the heart of the 10 commandments........we see his SEAL of Authority.

The holy Sabbath day and only he can declare a time period Holy. Just as only he can determine morality, right and wrong.

The Sabbath day is the only of the 10 with gospel too. Come apart and rest from your works. Remember who created you and who saved you. There is a redemptive element of the Sabbath too.

The 2 greatest weeks in human history both ended on the Sabbath. Creation and Redemption. He slept in that tomb on the Sabbath..his work of redemption was done, and complete.

Sunday is the child of the papacy and the change of the holy law of the Sabbath day was even predicted. Daniel sees the AntiChrist in Daniel and in Daniel 7, verse 25, he tells us this great psuedo religious power would be so arrogant as to even attempt to “change times and law.”

And she admits it!!! And yet evangelicals follow her day, right out of her catechism. Professing to go by the Bible, they cling to her law. Revelation predicts they will unite with her again too.....Babylon and her daughters......the whore of babylon.

The good news is more and more people around the world like Charlie Kirk are discovering the Seventh day Sabbath and it is in prophecy too. There is coming a day when those who observe the Seventh day Sabbath , refusing to conform to the false worldwide united fake Christian power.....will be greatly tested.

AS I tell people........”you think you hate the Sabbath now......wait till the great time of trouble.”

And it’s coming.......Revelation 14 , the 3 Angels message are the most frightening words ever given to a mortal. God is warning people.....”come out of her my people”......lest you share in her plagues.

And he’s talking about that same religious power that for 1260 years......burnt people alive and tortured them to death....and all in the name of God.

And her wound has healed. It is popular again to of Rome and evangelicals are reaching out to her.

And Sunday...is her day. Satan has a counterfeit for everything God does. Everything. A counterfeit gospel ,a counterfeit priest, a counterfeit day......

Sunday is a child of the Papacy.

Taking a day off to rest is good, just as fasting is good; they both have benefits. Taking a day off to honor Him and to rest is not the same thing, just as fasting to diet is not the same as fasting as a sacrifice to Him, and including prayer.

One can debate what day God set aside as the sabbath, but it seems clear that there is one. If one sincerely believes it is Sunday then do so on Sunday. If Saturday then do so on Saturday. We are told to not forsake the assembly of fellow Christians. How does that happen if any day may be chosen? I’m reasonably sure it isn’t “remember the day you select as the sabbath, to keep it holy”.

I am amused by the irony that one of these is legalistic: what we must do vs. what we must not do.

Notice there is nothing in the law about what to do on the Sabbath. Only this: do nothing. But one is allowed to do good on the Sabbath, if necessary.
