You're totally clueless as to what Russia's territorial objectives were coming into the war:
1) Liberating Donetsk and Lugansk.
2) Building a land bridge from Crimea to mainland Russia.
3) Taking over the Black Sea coastline and assuring dominance over the Black Sea.
That was it.
The objective was never to take all of Ukraine.
