Does this mean now that when a LEO pulls over a driver that is illegal, and has no license they can be arrested?
AFAIK now, they pretty much just let them go (keep driving) after they get pulled over.
And from what I hear in more cases than not, no ticket, no fine. “not worth the paper work”, “nothing is going to happen anyway”. basically illegals are immune to the laws.
Fox did a report this morning doing a ride along on I-95 south of Jacksonville.....didn’t take long, the State Trooper pulled over a work truck for speeding and sure enough there were 2 illegals with active ICE warrants.
This is especially so in Hillsborough County, where the judges have sent the word out to law enforcement they don't want to see any illegal aliens in their courtrooms.
The judges are paid off by the big construction and land development firms to keep hands off the illegals who are their sole source of cheap labor for roofing contractors, grounds maintenance, and construction crews.
Some of the 35-year-old rusted, smoking, banged-up heaps being driven on the streets here are open advertisements that the drivers have zero insurance coverage, much less a license to drive. Yet they are never pulled over.
So far, none of this has changed. Though enabling local law enforcement to support the Feds on immigration law at street level is a valiant move, it has limitations where there are judges who are more than willing to throw a wrench into the works.
