We already know how bad education is. Why does he not use capital letters?

The cats depicted in the article are smarter than some of the teachers and school employees that I know.

A good friend of mine describes our public schools as “ failure factories” churning out students who are barely literate and ignorant of science math history and geography.

Anyone get the irony that there are no capital letters used in the article?

Ban all women from working outside the home except obnoxious ones that want to.

Yea, that’s right, no sex until marriage.

This author never uses capital letters. It is the same style that e. e. cummings used.

Bump for later. Love the title! Is “enstupiding” a word? If not, it SHOULD be.

the “democratization of college” whereby what was once an institution for the top 5% of humans has become one catering to a full 50% as some sort of daycare for dimwits lovechild with “rules for radicals” has turned universities into a joke and in increasingly unfunny one at that.

Question: What is the significance (purpose, meaning) of the word "lovechild" in this logorrheic, orthographic renegade of a sentence?

While we're at it, note the misspelling of the word "an."

Yes, and he may have some valid points, but I stopped reading because of it. I cannot take such a writer seriously.

The writer has been writing under the pseudonym “el gato malo” for many years, including The Brownstone Institute which is a serious publication. Maybe “el gato malo” (the bad boy cat) is just being ornery like a bad cat.

Sheesh, if you’re gonna post from a blog (OP, not you) how about posting from a blogger that can, you know, write with proper punctuation. I loathe the fact that it is becoming seemingly acceptable to write with absolutely no proper punctuation and grammar. How much lazier and pathetic can we get?

The real Harvard Math MA5

.........The study of functions and their rates of change. Fundamental ideas of calculus are introduced early and used to provide a framework for the study of mathematical modeling involving algebraic, exponential, and logarithmic functions. A thorough understanding of differential calculus is promoted by year-long reinforcement.

Course Notes::
This is a version of Math MA that meets 5 days a week. The extra support will target foundational skills in algebra, geometry, and quantitative reasoning that will help you unlock success in Math MA. Students will be identified for enrollment in Math MA5 via a skill check before the start of the term........

Way back, I had a good public school education in Arizona, including Honors and AP classes. This enabled me to get into MIT!

Public school graduates still get into MIT, Cal Tech, the Ivies, Stanford, and good state universities. So things are not as bad as this article says.

However, there still needs to be LOTS of improvement, from kindergarten to graduate school!

I had Calculus in high school, and advanced-placed one term of Calculus at MIT!

Not all Harvard students are math nerds!
