HOUSTON — A local landscaper was arrested and charged with assault after an incident involving a postal worker that was captured on video, according to officials from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office. The landscaper's family says she is the victim. Part of the incident was caught on video.
Margarita Avila, who was working as a landscaper near a community mailbox, allegedly injured a postal worker with a weed eater during a confrontation, leading to her arrest. The incident has reportedly resulted in Avila being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
"It's just very devastating. I mean, we just don't know what to do," said Lisbet Avila, Margarita's daughter, describing the impact of the situation on their family.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office posted information about the arrest on Facebook after charging Avila with assault. However, her family maintains she was wrongfully arrested and acted in self-defense.
According to Lisbet Avila, her mother was wearing protective gear and earplugs when the incident occurred.
"With the wrestling and everything, that's when you could see the weed eaters just like going different places," she said.
The daughter claims the postal worker initiated the confrontation.
"She said the lady came from behind and knocked the glasses out of her face," Lisbet Avila said.
Video of the incident shows the landscaper and postal worker in a dispute. Shortly after, a woman working with the landscaper began recording the aftermath.

My guess would be one immigration and one criminal defense.
She violated the first rule for criminals, however. Only do one crime at a time.
The two attorneys will get paid out of the monthly benefit payment each of these illegals collects from their fraudulent individual Social Security accounts.

The fuzzy video seems to show two stubborn women locking horns over ‘territory’. It appears that either woman could have deescalated the tension at any point, but neither wanted to yield their position. So, it appears.

I would love to take a group of Americans from 1969 America and show them that video and watch their reaction at an America made up of fat women of color, a city cop, a federal mailman, and an attacker and the story being covered by a pudgy woman of color.
I am from 1969 and I find it pathetic. One: The yard is not done for five bucks by some kid. Two: The ‘mailman’ is a woman called a ‘postal worker’ and acting completely unprofessional. Three: The two of them look like a couple of inept Sumo wrestlers, with apologies to the real Sumo wrestlers out there.
if she is illegal, it’s only a matter of time. The press secretary stated in other words that anyone illegal is on the list to be deported and may be caught up in whatever situations and be detained for deport.

This is a tough one, a shoving match between a hard working, possibly illegal immigrant and a DEI hired quota Postal Worker who is obviously a member of the usual suspects club.
I’m trying to think what normal circumstances could have caused the landscape worker to attack someone ?
