Nike forgot that a lot of their customers are men and men are very tired of woke. Nike should rename their brand “Karen.”
A brand that lasted a long time, especially considering how much it relied on “cachet” for sales. Maybe they can move the excess inventory for special sales at various Sears outlet stores around the country.
Nike is one of a very small number of companies that I boycott. I’ve detested them for decades.
I like Nikes
They so sweet
Look so good
Upon dem feets
I bought one pair of Nike running shoes back around 1980. They were really bad for running (strange fit, lousy support and stability) and I ended up getting rid of them even before they completely fell apart, although they were starting to after just a few months. After that, no more Nike anything.
I live near Portland, aka Nike HQ. There are some outlet stores around here that have all the “this didn’t sell in the normal retail chain” stuff. And it’s amazing that they’re still in business. They produce TONS of the ugliest shoes you’ve ever seen. I don’t know who the target audience is for them, but by virtue of the fact that the outlets are FULL of them, I would assume NO ONE.
Maybe a “realignment” will cause them to stop producing so much crap, and produce more reasonably priced products that people might want to buy. (Yeah, I know, I’m dreaming again).
Branding for the mega brands is everything.
And it is quite fickle.
I’ve been wearing Reebok DMX Comfort walking shoes for several years.
No silly, not the same pair.
Seems like something about this style keeps my back in line and I never have a tired back or back ache.
Reebok does a lot business online and you will get emails from them daily.
But you can get deals once or twice a year where they have 40 per cent off retail.
“Does Nike use child labor?
Nike has admitted it cannot guarantee that its products will not be made using child labour in a report designed to address the accusations that have plagued the company”.

Hoka lower price point. I don’t think so. My problem with Nike is their quality took a dive around 5 years ago.
Quit buying NIKE products 25 years ago.
The last pair of Nike shoes I bought were the air running shoes. Took them out of the box and my first stop of the day was Home Depot. I stepped on a sharp shard of metal and punched a hole in one of the air chambers. For the rest of their life, they made a fart sound if there was the slightest bit of moisture on the ground.
i’ve worn Nikes my entire life.
A few years ago after getting sick of the squeaking noises, the peeling rubber soles, the uncomfortable feel of them i switched to comparable Reeboks that last twice as long, no squeaking noises and FAR more comfortable.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Never going back to Nike, especially with their political/social stances.
My choice for high quality shoes. I have hiking boots that have seen daily use for 4 years still in great condition. I also have steel toe work shoes and just bought snow boots. All are superb quality. Never like Nike.
