Social change was going to happen. My issue is the welfare state and the immigration law that transformed the country that were passed due to a stolen election! Eisenhower/Nixon integrated the schools and Nixon was no racist. He started Affirmative Action.

The head shot, after getting shot in the jugular, may not have been necessary. But the shots were triangulated. Even the limo driver made suspicious moves during the event.

“I doubt it, as there was a professional sniper at work.”

No, there were “several” professional assassins at work.

I agree, LBJ’s quote should have included the word “continue”.

You will find no bigger fan of RN than me. Unfortunately, that horse was out of the barn and gone, not to return for nearly a decade.

" He used this rifle with open sights on a moving target at about 88 yards. And supposedly got in a neck and head shot. NO, I DON’T THINK SO."

Nope, he used a Carcano 6.5mm rifle with a scope.

A lot of people compare post JFK/LBJ/60s Nixon of 1968 to 1974 with 1960 Nixon but he probably changed a lot from what he would have been like as a 1960 President.

Immigration was the killer, America can never recover from that, there is no pre-immigration law America to return to in any sense, the future of America is merely adapting to whatever these new people’s uncooked stew of endless cultures, religions, native instincts, and home country loyalties and allegiances and warring factions leads to.

"I can’t imagine JFK being anyone’s hero""

I recall that the movie "PT-109" made him one with a lot of my boyhood friends at the time.

JFK started it, not Nixon.

1961 – President John F. Kennedy’s Executive Order (E.O.) 10925 used affirmative action for the first time by instructing federal contractors to take “affirmative action to ensure that applicants are treated equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin,” Established the Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity.

1964 – Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed into law. This was landmark legislation prohibiting employment discrimination by large employers (over 15 employees), whether or not they have government contracts. Established the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

1965 – President Lyndon B. Johnson issued E.O. 11246, requiring all government contractors and subcontractors to take affirmative action to expand job opportunities for minorities. Established the Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCC) in the Department of Labor to administer the order.

1966 – EEOC promulgates regulations that require employers with at least 100 employees or government contractors with 50 employees to fill out the EEO-1 Private Sector Report annually. This report is a snapshot of how many racial and ethnic minorities and women are working in a company. 29 C.F.R § 1602.7.

1967 – President Johnson amended E.O. 11246 to include affirmative action for women. Federal contractors are now required to make good-faith efforts to expand employment opportunities for women and minorities.

The president is in charge of the military not the CIA. Kennedy was responsible for the deaths of about 50k Americans. If he didn’t want us there we wouldn’t have been. Democrats all suck.

Nixon got us out of the war that Kennedy go us into. Albeit a poor exit for sure.

Yup! My Google source was wrong. Google Images clearly show a scope.

On the visible surface, POTUS is CIA and in charge of the military.

Behind the curtain of the military is the CIA.

Not sure what “there” means, but I was in high school when he was killed.

“I think the country would have been better off with Kennedy as president than it was with LBJ.”

Absolutely right! Since the JFK files started dropping I’ve heard more about LBJ than I ever wanted to know. On Newsmax last night a guest mentioned some special problem with him. The host (Finnerty or Schmitt) knew what he was talking about and it apparently was so nasty that they wouldn’t speak of it.

In the ‘80s I met a military guy who had been stationed at the WH, and one of his jobs was to escort bimbos from outside to LBJ. I think he mentioned tunnels or something. Of course, that probably happened while JFK was there, too.

The night JFK “won” (Joe bought) his election, I watched my parents cry.

“The left turned him into one of our most athletic presidents, athletic and exuding health and one of our greatest WWII heroes. No one can name what combat award for heroism he was awarded, but they know that he was a great WWII hero.”

He was created, like AOC. Except that maybe AOC actually won in her race, unlike JKF whose father paid for his outcome.

Our involvement in Vietnam started w Truman in 1945. No one talks about pre-Kennedy.

Based on the Zapruda film, he was dead instantly due to the fact his brains were blasted out of his skull. As for the breathing, etc., maybe his brain stem survived.

Biden proved the Office can be held so long as there's at least a heartbeat. Brains just get in the way of the powers behind the throne.

Bottom line: It is the president’s responsibility to send troops or not. No matter what the CIA says or wants. The president is in charge of the CIA, not the other way around.
