Friend of mine worked at the UN decades ago and invited me to tour the building and have lunch in the delegates’ dining room. I walked in feeling privileged and walked out thinking the UN should be shut down. Delegates from countries that didn’t have paved roads walking around in very expensive clothes and gold watches on their wrists.

Beautiful building near the river could be remodeled into very expensive condos.
