The Energodar plant is a VVER-1000 series reactor, which is very different from the RBMK used at Chernobyl. These are extremely reliable reactors, and is the predecessor to current Russian nuclear reactors, which are considered the best in the world right now.

That being said, I would much rather this plant stays under Russian control.
