Off.topic, but, it wasn’t too long ago that liberals liked Tesla and our moving to electric cars. Now they hate Musk and Tesla. What ever happened to saving the planet with electric cars?

How do they explain Senator Kelly, getting rid of his Tesla and getting a gasoline powered Chevy Tahoe? Don’t we have to save the earth, and not let political differences cloud our thinking on this?

Or does hating Trump override saving the earth with electric cars?

I think they hate Musk more than anything else. I haven’t heard about anyone keying Priuses or Nissan Leafs.

TBH I’m not too fond of Musk myself ever since he said we need more H1B visas in this country while there are many unemployed American programmers. That’s the most anti-MAGA thing anyone in Trump’s inner circle has said to date. Screw him. Let him live in India if he thinks its programmers are so much better than ours.

I think the whole climate change was created as a weapon to be used against conservatives. There are probably some true believers, but for the most part, I think people are not going to make any real sacrifices.

I saw a poster in a local park the other day, telling people to sell their Teslas, referring to Musk as a Nazi. I thought about the silliness of the process. First of all, when the car is purchased new, Musk and the Tesla Corporation receive their profit. They gain or lose nothing from the secondary market. Also, if someone is selling their Tesla, it means someone is also buying it.
