Agreed. In particular, with a government shutdown the Democrats knew they would get the blame, and the government is run for the time being by OMB. This would allow the DOGE team to be more effective because it would be more difficult to obstruct them.

It might also have been humorous to mention that this CR was fleshed out last summer, so they would have been voting against their own CR almost to a man, woman or whatever.
