All of the sudden our airlines are not doing so well.

Vibration > fuel leak > fire.

The Daily Mail has just totally disgraced itself by even attempting to associate this incident with Donald Trump or the FAA.

It’s almost like there’s someone trying to sabotage America’s trust in flying. Is this a coordinated effort by leftists who’ve always told us that flying is killing mother ‘erf?

Again, do people still repeat the old phrase “You know, you’re actually in more danger driving from home to the airport than you are flying. Flying is statistically safer.”
The late humor author Lewis Grizzard was afraid of flying. He pointed out the Wright Brothers started human powered flight and “did you notice not soon after was the first fatality from a plane crash?”
US Army Lt. Thomas E. Selfridge, who died was killed while flying on a demonstration flight with Orville Wright in 1908.
Note: Selfridge Air National Guard base in Michigan near where I grew up, formerly an Air Force base and earlier simply Selfridge Field.

That’s 100% true.
I’m fine once I’m in the seat of the plane

Hey at least they didn’t land upside down!

Years ago we took off from Dulles, the pilot announced there was an issue and we were returning to the Airport. As we landed there were fire engines on both sides of us.
Looking at the vid, I see passengers on the wing and no fire trucks. WTF?

That everyone got out safely is a testament to how well built these planes are. I’m not worried about flying.

I find this fire odd. If that engine was demonstration vibration necessitating a return the pilot would have shut the engine down and fuel flow to that engine. What happened?
