I call BS on ANYTHING the government discloses about UFO's, aliens, close encounters the whole ball of wax - it's all fake it's all a distraction a way to waste money, IMHO.

I'll give some reasons:

1. Size of the Universe The universe is vast, with billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars and potentially even more planets. The sheer number of planets that could harbor life suggests that it’s statistically likely that life exists elsewhere in the universe. However, this doesn’t automatically mean they've visited Earth. The distances between stars are enormous, so even if extraterrestrial civilizations exist, traveling across those distances would be a monumental challenge with current understanding of physics.

2. Fermi Paradox The Fermi Paradox is the apparent contradiction between the high probability of extraterrestrial life and the lack of evidence or contact with such civilizations. While there are many planets that could potentially support life, we haven't yet found definitive evidence of alien visitation or communication. This raises the question: If intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations exist, why haven’t they made contact with us?

3. Technological Limitations Even if there are extraterrestrial civilizations capable of space travel, the technological limitations of such journeys would be a significant factor. The closest star system to Earth, Alpha Centauri, is over 4 light years away. Traveling even a fraction of that distance with current technology would take tens of thousands of years. More advanced civilizations might have developed faster-than-light travel or other forms of advanced technology, but we don’t know if such technologies are even possible according to our current understanding of physics.

4. Lack of Evidence Despite decades of scientific exploration and attempts to detect alien signals (like through the SETI program), we have no direct evidence of aliens having visited Earth. Claims of UFO sightings or alien encounters are numerous, but they are often anecdotal, unverified, or explainable by other phenomena (e.g., weather balloons, military aircraft, or misidentified natural objects). The scientific community generally requires solid evidence to support such claims, and so far, no verifiable proof has been found.

5. The Great Filter Hypothesis Some theorists suggest that there may be a "Great Filter" — a step in the evolution of life that is incredibly rare or difficult to overcome. This could explain why we haven’t encountered extraterrestrial civilizations. The Great Filter could be anything from the origin of life itself to the development of advanced technology. If most civilizations fail at this critical point, it would significantly reduce the odds of finding one that has developed the ability to travel across vast distances and reach Earth.

While I WISH that alien visitations were true and they might be, I find it HIGHLY unlikely.

All are superb reasons for explaining away intergalactic visitations.

I suggest looking into inter-dimensional origins.

we don’t know if such technologies are even possible according to our current understanding of physics.

Look how far technology has advanced since the Wright brothers first flew their plane.

There is no one who can calculate how far technology will advance in the next 500 years.

It's estimated that the universe is 13.8 billion years old. IF life exists on other planets, they could very well be a thousand or more years ahead of us in technology and have discovered aspects of physics and inter dimensions that we haven't even thought of yet.

So, I continue to keep and open mind and believe that there is life somewhere out there...

You make some good points. Here’s another perspective.

Dismissing all government disclosures on UFOs as “BS” is an overgeneralization. While skepticism is healthy, recent disclosures include testimonies from military pilots, radar operators, and intelligence officials—making total fabrication unlikely.

You acknowledge the vastness of the universe but assume interstellar travel must follow our current physics. Advanced civilizations could have developed propulsion methods beyond our understanding, just as past scientific breakthroughs defied prior assumptions.

The Fermi Paradox doesn’t disprove visitation—it only highlights contradictions in our observations. Aliens may avoid direct contact, use undetectable communication, or be subject to government secrecy.

Claims of “no evidence” overlook military reports of craft with no visible propulsion, extreme acceleration, and transmedium travel—phenomena unexplained by current technology. However, just because credible people have seen UFOs doesn’t automatically mean they come from outer space. They could originate from parallel dimensions, an idea some physicists take seriously. Given the possibility of the “extradimensional” hypothesis, concluding such beings must be from “outer space” looks like a straw man argument.

Skepticism is warranted, but outright dismissal ignores credible reports and the possibility of unknown technological advances. A more balanced approach considers evidence without assuming deception.

“I call BS on ANYTHING the government discloses about UFO’s, aliens, close encounters the whole ball of wax”

I’ll agree there. Because they are constantly filling us with misdirection away from the truth of existence. So we can take the government out of the equation. So far they are indeed unreliable as a source. The people with no agenda are who to consider as reliable sources. They are NOT all liars trying to deceive. They have absolutely no reason to. They are just met with efforts to discredit them and belittle them when they do share. What incentive is there to lie? They deserve some benefit of the doubt. There are hundreds of extremely distinguished expert witnesses who can never be accused of delusions.

1. “However, this doesn’t automatically mean they’ve visited Earth. The distances between stars are enormous, so even if extraterrestrial civilizations exist, traveling across those distances would be a monumental challenge with current understanding of physics.”

First, they have always been here. Been here for thousands of years if not hundreds of thousands of years. They were here before us. Point being their travel here wasn’t recent. Second, we can’t judge their technology and travel distances with our own very primitive understanding of physics. We are indeed just now on the edge of a very viable method of transportation using Quantum Entanglement. We have now proven that near instant transportation using entanglement is possible. And that Quantum entanglement can defy space and time.

2. “we haven’t yet found definitive evidence of alien visitation or communication. This raises the question: If intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations exist, why haven’t they made contact with us?”

Would you try to communicate with lowly lifeforms such as ants in an ant farm? As for no communication at all we are right back to the fact that those who share have no reason to lie about contact and/or abductions. All it brings them is efforts to shame and humiliate them. There is nothing “in it” for them.

3. “Technological Limitations Even if there are extraterrestrial civilizations capable of space travel, the technological limitations of such journeys would be a significant factor.”

Judged by our technology not their technology. What makes us think that our technology is superior or even close to equal with their technology?

“More advanced civilizations might have developed faster-than-light travel or other forms of advanced technology, but we don’t know if such technologies are even possible according to our current understanding of physics.”

But we do now know that it is possible, see #1.

4. “and so far, no verifiable proof has been found.”

And since hundreds of eyewitnesses who have absolutely no reason to lie tell us that they witnessed government lock them down and remove them as fast as they happen how would we know there hasn’t been verifiable proof? Because they claim to have seen them but because you personally have not then their experiences were not real? Zero benefit of the doubt because you haven’t seen any yet? Sharing their experiences has brought them persecution and visits from the government. Why visits from the government?

5. “The Great Filter Hypothesis Some theorists suggest that there may be a “Great Filter” — a step in the evolution of life that is incredibly rare or difficult to overcome.”

No it is not. These entities could actually be us from the future coming back in time. It is one of the popular theories.

Same here but for none of the reasons you catalogued. My skepticism is born of the fact that Lou Elizondo is involved. Is he still a paid asset of the CIA/blob? Take everything he says as misdirection.
