rand, the market goes up, the market goes down ...

do you remember the gigantic market crash due to the covid panic just a few short years ago? ... the perfect buying opportunity, actually, as the “distillation of sentiment” was actually just the herd panicking as usual, and those with wisdom enough to NOT panic, but instead evaluate the situation rationally, were able to literally buy some of the bargains of the century as they scooped up the babies from the bathwater ... and since then, the market has had a nearly continuous rise ... personally, my “babies” have tripled in price since then ...

see how that works, rand? ... market goes up, market goes down, the herd panics, the smart folks scoop up bargains, the market rises ... rinse and repeat ...

my friend has lost about $100,000 in her retirement in just a few days. She was advised to move everything into the international markets fir greater risk/ rewards so I told her that wasn’t a great idea as the chinese tariffs are due to kick in. As fir me, I was advised by a broker to lock money into bonds a few days after trump became president and although Zim not making anything— at least I haven’t lost much. When/if things turn around, I’ll be back. According to the Bible, one of these days the world’s economies are going to crash. I’m wondering if this is the start of it.

BIG money which is now moving the market, then eventually it will have to be parked somewhere else.

The only thing moving up are metals>

Gold...Silver....Brass and Lead.

I got caught with that...stupid broker didn't know about bullion and advised 2 year bonds paying 4% over 2 years.

Anyway...I can use the bond as a security for a loan to buy some bullion.

Expect a short squeeze on physical gold in the near future.

I think Rand’s message to Trump is that he (Rand) is seeing a Correlation and assuming Causation.

He is assuming that the stock market decline is CAUSED by the tariff threat - which is the media’s narrative. However...

1. Bitcoin is dropping as fast as stocks, and has nothing to do with tariffs. Bitcoin, like the market, is however sensitive to a slowing economy.

2. Business Insider on Jan 8, 2025, published a story that US bankruptcies were at a 14 year high - before Trump even got in office.

My guess is that the economy has been tanking for at least 6 months, and that the Biden regime was hiding that with massive spending and fudging the reported numbers, especially jobs.

Rand has no idea what he’s talking about.

If you did not sell, you did not lose.

The reason the markets declined is because no one was buying
