That’s a remarkable comparison if true, 10 minutes of fuel to drive 2000 miles versus 10 hours of charging to drive 500 miles.

Electrical vehicles are having basic problem.
The ordinary gas pump, during filling, delivers energy equivalent of 4MW!
That’s practically impossible with eclectic power. It is basically an output of small power plant or major solar cell project, if sun is up!
Powers of that order are delivered by high voltage power lines, but that kind of voltage would be very dangerous in casual operations.

The energy content of gasoline is just humongous.
