Sam Bankman-Fried's revealing interview where he spoke about being imprisoned with Diddy and Luigi Mangione has earned the FTX founder a stay in solitary confinement.

The convicted cryptocurrency king is serving a 25-year sentence for fraud at New York's Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn alongside his famous fellow inmates.

-snip-

'Have you made friends there? Are you hanging with Diddy? I think he's in there with you,' Carlson asked.

A grinning Bankman-Fried replied, 'He is.. he's been kind. I've made some friends, it's a weird environment. It's a combination of a few other high-profile cases and a lot of alleged ex-gangsters.

'I've only seen one piece of him, which is Diddy in prison. He's been kind to people in the unit, he's been kind to me.

“His interview was apparently ‘not approved’ by the Bureau of Prisons, the New York Times reported.”

Then how the hell did it happen at all?

A lot of questions here.

Probably someone dropping a note that he’s already been interviewed and will provide testimony in lieu of someone being prosecuted

This guy will end up like Epstein as he was the money launderer for the Democrats. He knows how the Ukraine money filtered back to the Democrats. Possibly even cartel $$$.

Another cover up by NewYork. The same folks who murdered a squirrel. They are without conscience. Every one of them.

What do they call the black caucus without Bankman-Fried campaign contributions?

The black carcass.

"Then how the hell did it happen at all?"

Thanks! I'd like to know that too. I think it's BS. Somebody working at that prison had to put the two of them together, either in person at the prison or on the phone. Inmates aren't allowed personal phones or computers. The Bureau of Prisons should be reporting who allowed this without their approval, but it's likely they're protecting that person, and punishing Bankman-Fried instead. While inmates in State prisons have phone access on their units or in the yard to call who they want, all phone calls are monitored, and can be recorded as well. I doubt Bankman-Fried is allowed to walk around his unit, and use a phone whenever he likes, or he'd be doing more interviews, and we haven't heard about any of them.

Exactly right.

Sam Banking Fraud did not kill himself in Solitary.

But he could sure take down Maxine Waters. All of the Dems in fact. He was the leading provider, behind Geo Soros, for funding the 2020 election Steal.

“Inmates aren’t allowed personal phones or computers”

Well, that’s not exactly accurate.....in my state anyway.

As a prison ministry volunteer I saw the DOC provide tablets to qualified inmates.....however that privilege was closely monitored and restricted, and video conferencing like the one detailed here would absolutely not be allowed.

I worked in uniform in NY State's prison system for 25 years. I retired in 2003. If NY State has allowed inmates to have tablets, then the system has gone drastically downhill, and I'm glad I retired when I did. They reward them with toys, and end up making it harder for prison staff to enforce the rules. Back in 2018, Idaho inmates took advantage of a vulnerability in their personal notebooks to credit themselves with hundreds of thousands of dollars in credits. An investigation showed more than 360 inmates hacked into the JPay system to increase their account balances by nearly $225,000 in credits. Inmates might not be able to read and write, but they can figure out how to scam the system. After all, they have 24 hours a day to come up with ideas to do just that.

The fact that Correction Officers are on strike in New York State tells me that NYDOCS has gone to hell. Cuomo, and now Hochul have closed multiple prisons around NY State, bouncing inmates and staff across the State, while kicking other inmates out before they've completed their court-ordered sentences. They can't get anybody to take the C.O. test anymore, and have been making uniformed staff work 24 hour shifts because of staff shortages, which is insane.

The other thing the NY State Legislature did was pass The Halt Act to keep any disciplined inmate from being in special housing for more than 14 days, thus putting aggressive, and non-compliant inmates right back into general population. That's no different than NY State D.A.'s, Attorney Generals, and Judges releasing repeat violent offenders right back onto the street so they can quickly reoffend again. Instead of punishing bad behavior, they are rewarding it, and putting the life of prison staff in danger.
