You want to argue about something so you are just making up things.

You need to pull yourself together and maybe check your mood.

Yeah, I made up Scripture and assigned an arbitrary Chapter and verse. < /sarc>

Ever see this one?

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

This one means that your Salvation isn't dependent upon what you have or haven't done. It is provided by Faith in Christ Jesus. That means eating chocolate bunnies or not has no affect of your Heavenly journey.

You sure have strange positions for someone on a pro-Christian

Would that be my stance on Salvation by Grace alone? Be more specific. You are making unsubstantiated claims.

Did you know that the Christmas Tree was adopted from pagans by Martin Luther? He took a pagan practice that was common in his time and re-designated it for Christian celebration.

Its good to revisit memories once a year...

Yes it is! I remember how exciting it was to hunt Easter Eggs or eat through an Easter Basket. My dad was an LCMS pastor; and, he figured out ways to bring Gospel Messages to the kids using those things as props. He was actually very good at handling such symbolism.

His Christmas Pageants were a big blast. They were elaborate and well choreographed, even with the really young ones.

I don’t follow that logic. Its not up to some authority to decide what these symbols mean...its up to us. They can and do seek to sanitize the public square but believers will believe.

If you have had the priest bless your bread and pasanka...if you carry palms or pussy willows,,,that belief carries and glorifies Christ.

When you get around to it explain why you support the war on Christmas and Easter and have you contacted President Trump to switch to supporting it rather than opposing it.

As my post pointed out “Like Christmas becoming about Santa, reindeer, and wrapping paper, governments, public buildings and schools, media, and corporations, are morphing Easter into a generic “holiday” of bunnies and colored eggs, as the old die off, future generations will be celebrating generic holidays of cartoon figures and kids play with no known meaning.”

...explain why you support the war on Christmas and Easter...

First, prove that is what I have done. Feel free to quote Scripture.

What I am actually doing it to show you that your path to Heaven, back to the Father, is entirely due to your Faith in Christ Jesus as a Gift by Grace alone. It has nothing to do with your good behavior, bad behavior, or anything else YOU or others can or cannot do.

I have shown that by quoting Scripture. You have yet to validate your claims, simply because YOU and your denomination are the ones making things up.

If they do indeed do that, it would not be through the fault of government or cultural practices. That failing would rest solely on the parents and Christians who failed to Evangelize their family and friends.

I didn’t say anything about the “symblols” what I said is that the meaning of those days is being erased and new holidays are being created to replace the American people’s religious holidays.

“Like Christmas becoming about Santa, reindeer, and wrapping paper, governments, public buildings and schools, media, and corporations, are morphing Easter into a generic “holiday” of bunnies and colored eggs, as the old die off, future generations will be celebrating generic holidays of cartoon figures and kids play with no known meaning.”

Evidently as people become unexposed to Christianity it reduces the number of them becoming Christians, as evidenced in all of Western Civilization and the United States.

We conservatives and Christians also have a duty to our nation and it’s culture and to oppose the forces against us.

What in the world are you talking about?

Here is your entry into this thread:
Like Christmas becoming about Santa, reindeer, and wrapping paper, governments, public buildings and schools, media, and corporations, are morphing Easter into a generic “holiday” of bunnies and colored eggs, as the old die off, future generations will be celebrating generic holidays of cartoon figures and kids play with no known meaning.

You are advocating the notion that Easter Eggs somehow take the meaning from Easter. That means you think that adding those to the Celebration corrupts the message, maybe even that consuming those eggs is a sacrilege. My stance is that the cultural practices do not adversely affect Faith when those practices are integrated with the Easter Message. Faith is not governed by works, works are governed by Faith.

My father, an LCMS Pastor, always utilized Easter Eggs and chocolate bunnies into his "Children's Service" at the beginning of the service. He turned them into symbols of the Risen Christ.

So, your fear of corruption from government and cultural influences seems unfounded, perhaps due to the lack of skill in your clergy.

We conservatives and Christians also have a duty to our nation and it’s culture and to oppose the forces against us.

This is done by pushing back on Easter Eggs and chocolate bunnies? The time would be much better spend bringing the Gospel right smack into people's ears, with no mention of eggs and bunnies being necessary.

I understand the thrust of your argument now. I apologize for misunderstanding. Now it seems that you are taking an indirect route to Evangelizing. Your alarm might be centered upon symptoms rather than cause.

While I can certainly agree that the commercialization of Christian holidays is intense and pervasive, it is up to us to keep on Message. I was happy to see that Hallmark continues to print nice Easter cards: Easter

Should that fade away, remember that there is a lot of Christian talent and it is easy to found a company to take up any gap. Still, it was and always will be the happy duty of Christians to celebrate in ways meaningful to OUR Heritage. Outside influences can't really affect that. We must make influence go "the other way", under the Great Commission.

This civilization is collapsing, so it really is up to individuals and groups of like-minded people to maintain our Faith. Any sort of reliance outside of Christian Faith centers will prove to have diminishing returns.

I thought you were bitching about Easter Eggs and chocolate bunnies.
