Shouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s been known for years that people who handle roses frequently and get pricked by thorns are at higher risk for certain cancers. The same is true of people who chronically have used crankcase oil on their hands (mechanics). The body reacts adversely to persistent environmental irritants.

smart mechanics pretty much routinely use inexpensive throwaway nitrile gloves nowadays ... heck, i think even the not-so-smart ones use gloves too because it’s a lot easier to peel those things off than to repeatedly try to wash nasty oil off your hands multiple times a day ... i think oily hands have gone the way of timing lights to tune an engine ...
