smart mechanics pretty much routinely use inexpensive throwaway nitrile gloves nowadays ... heck, i think even the not-so-smart ones use gloves too because it’s a lot easier to peel those things off than to repeatedly try to wash nasty oil off your hands multiple times a day ... i think oily hands have gone the way of timing lights to tune an engine ...
