Trudeau Asks King Charles to Declare Canada's Sovereignty in Response to Trump Threat

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with King Charles III on Monday and reportedly discussed the King making a public declaration in support of Canada's sovereignty.
Charles, who is the head of state of Canada as a British commonwealth nation, drew backlash in Canada for extending an invitation for a state visit to Donald Trump, while Trump is actively promoting the idea of annexing Canada and making it the "51st state."
"I can tell you that nothing seems more important to Canadians right now than standing up for our sovereignty and our independence as a nation," Trudeau told reporters in the lead up to the meeting with the King.
Constitutionally, the King cannot take any political action in a nation unless formally asked to do so by the prime minister, so ministerial advice from Trudeau would be the first step in the King getting involved to defend Canada from Trump.

Canada thinks it is a nation.
Well so does California!
And Hawaii!
and any number of states.
Bottom line is who keeps you safe at night?
Think about priorities.
Canadian politicians are as screwed up as CA
politicians and just about as corrupt.
Canadians are very unique people so are Californians.
Big difference is I’m an American not glued to
one state.
Unlike Canadians. ( I know y’all have provinces, I’ve been to many),
Problem is politics, that is all, we are the same people
culturally.

Yes, but we do recognize Heads of State.
But this makes zero sense. Trudeau wanting the King to just confirm Canada is not part of the United States? This is pitiful.

I don’t have a dog in this hunt, but I think it would be best for Canada to sever ties with the UK and make their own determinations. Where ever that goes.

I wonder if Trudeau has the support of Canadian truckers? Yah, I didn’t think so, either.

Does Canada’s sovereignty and independence include no more trade surplus with the United States?
Let the UK subsidize you for $200B/year

He’s worried we’ll get their maple syrup.
Nah, the Maple Syrup comes from Quebec. They can go separate as they all speak French.

we don’t actually recognize kings.
Well, we might take the king of Saudi Arabia seriously.

Well, this just shows how behind on the times the Canucks really are.
There's a whole list of kings who would have run Canada better than Justin Trudeau. Whole lot of commoners, too, I suppose.

Communist Red China could capture British Vancouver - forget all the Taiwan sabre rattling - and Canada would do what, exactly, to stop Red China?

Why doesn't Trudeau ask the King of France?
Canada is still part of the UK Commonwealth. Besides, the King or Queen is on all their money.

That’s cool. We probably already print welfare forms in French. We have Haitians.

What a moron Trudeau is turning out to be. He doesn’t have a clue that Trump is simply trolling him with that 51st state stuff. Fidel would be ashamed of him.

I believe CCP already captured Vancouver, quietly. During the Plandemic, when travelers returned home to Canada, they were met with stone-faced CCP soldiers at the airport, where they were intimidated and 'processed' and not allowed to go home, but instead HAD to go to quarantine.
There were pictures of CCP soldiers walking along the side of a road in one of Vancouvers islands.
When Trump won the first time, New Yorkers crossing the national boundary reported meeting with very nice CCP pilots stationed at NORAD, the old missile base Trudeau gave them to use.
Then about 2 years ago, Xi was in Canada and said something to which Trudeau responded with a smiling lecture on wokeism (he corrected Xi and told him the proper way to express the topic). Xi smiled and said something which his translator conveyed to Trudeau. At that point, it seems Trudeau 'forgot how to walk.' His face blanched and he looked confused and he kind of hobbled away as if trying to compose himself.
I think the CCP is already there to some degree. I think that's (part of) why Trump wants Canada to become the 51st state. We subsidize them and they are 'open' to mal actors.

Otherwise, too many Dem congressmen will result. Plus, they'd add two Demonrat senators for sure. The Dems would realize their dream of a permanent majority, so let's ax the idea of making Canada part of the U.S.

If the KING was worthy, he would get on a horse and ride to a police station and trample the next cop that attempts to go to a person’s house, in an attempt to arrest them for posting a meme that somebody claims is mean or hurtful.
