A fire erupted at one of Russia's largest oil refineries in the city of Ufa in Bashkortostan, approximately 900 miles from the Ukrainian border, following a reported drone attack.

Videos circulating on social media showed a huge fire engulf the Bashneft-owned refinery, which is situated about 932 miles east of the Ukrainian border, and processes up to 168,000 barrels per day, according to Reuters.
The Bashkortostan Ministry of Emergency Situations said the fire erupted "in the area of the incinerator."
"There is no threat to residents of nearby areas. A laboratory is operating on site to monitor the air quality. There were no reports of casualties," the region's emergency ministry said in a statement on social-media platform Telegram.
The ministry said technical issues caused the fire, but prominent Russian Telegram channels with links to local security services said that residents reported hearing drones and explosion sounds in the city before the fire broke out.

Oh, and Russian oil consumption is 3.365 million barrels/day as of end of 2023. The 2024 numbers globally release in June, by BP. Out of crude & condensate production of 10.554 million barrels/day. The rest exported, of course. Rather too much storage required otherwise.
Consumption in 2022 was 3.615 million bpd. Not much of an increase for the war. This is not a surprise. Ukraine’s oil consumption decreased since the war started. Tanks burn less fuel than the cars of the crew and maintenance people not being driven at home.

Until a peace deal is actually signed, why stop fighting?
Of course, the parents, wives, children and friends of Ukies and Ruzzians
might disagree with your comment.
Since it’s not your blood being shed.
Russians, sure, they don’t want to keep fighting. But the Ukrainians are the ones whose homes were special military operationed, so I would think they’d be pretty inclined to keep defending their land.
Fight to the last Ukie!
It’s time to end the madness.
Way past time.
